Y Partners 2010 is focusing on five critical needs:
*Youth leadership and development
*Safe and affordable child care
*Healthy lifestyles for youth
*Health disparities
*Water safety

Y Partners funds allow the River Falls Area YMCA to meet critical needs in our community!
*30 Teens from throughout the St. Croix Valley participate in life-changing simulated state government activities, including researching, presenting and debating bills at the Minnesota State Capitol.
*The River Falls Area Y provided $36,000 in scholarships in 2009 to over 200 low-income youth, adults, seniors and families, enabling them to have healthy, active lives during a difficult economic time.
*Over $4,300 of Y Partners funds are used to provide Preschool scholarships for low-income families who want to provide their children with important academic preparation.
*The YMCA partners with organizations such as the Renaissance Academy to provide alternative education students the use of the Y for their physical education requirements, helping them earn their high school diploma.
*The River Falls Y partnered with River Falls High School to open the school pool for lap swimming and water exercise.
