Help stop human trafficking! Help rescue victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
"If you want someone to remark about a cause, you need to do something remarkable... even if it's just remarkably stupid." - Cedric Dahl, Charity Adventurer
We're driving an Auto Rickshaw 5,000 km (3,300 miles) on the most dangerous roads in the world from one corner of India to another in an effort to raise awarness & funds to fight human trafficking.
Human trafficking victimizes more children in India than anywhere else in the world. Though trafficking is explicitly prohibited in the Indian constitution, enforcement is weak due to the limitations of the country’s overburdened judicial system. The result is massive trafficking of children and women, both within India and across its borders. The primary factor allowing slavery to persist is a fractured public justice system lacking the capacity to extend the protections of the law to those who need it most.
The funds you contribute go directly to the International Justice Mission (IJM.org) to combat slavery and forced prostitution, bringing freedom and restoration to victims and ensuring that perpetrators are prosecuted for their crimes.
The risk in all seriousness - is death, let alone horrible injury - but the reward is knowing that our trek across back mountain roads, swamps and jungle will improve the lives of others.
Cheers,
