Mission

The purpose of Retrieve A Golden of Minnesota, Inc., a full service rescue organization, is to:

  • Provide a high quality of life for Golden Retrievers who can no longer remain in their current environment.
  • Provide Golden Retriever rescue group functions, including thorough veterinarian examinations and treatments, cooperate with state and local authorities in the enforcement of laws related to the welfare and control of dogs
  • Encourage, educate and promote responsible dog ownership and good canine citizenship.

Programs

  • RAGOM rescued over 400 stray, displaced, or unwanted Golden Retrievers and Golden Mixes in 2013.
  • RAGOM Volunteers donated over 87,000 miles for rescuing and transporting our dogs in 2013.
  • We train foster homes
  • Foster homes donated thousands of hours of services for rescue, foster and placement.
  • We provide detailed paperwork for intake, foster and placement.
  • We provide adoptive homes with information on caring for rescued dogs.
  • We provide veterinarian services for our dogs (spay, neuter, heartworm/worm tests, bring shots up to date, provide surgery).
  • We maintain RAGOM.org and Social Media sites so our Volunteers and Interested/Adoptive Families have easy access to information, Available Dogs, Events, and educational resources.
