I've now been working at the Respite Center for about 15 years. I am the Marathon Coordinator which means I organize the team of about 90 runners every year (with the help of Jessica Anderson of EMC) to raise money for our families in need with children and adults with disabilites. I consider myself a very lucky person to have the honor of working with so many wonderful people and being a part of the Respite Center family. Our center runs on the generosity of the community of our supporters. Because of the support of so many people we have gone from serving just 5 families in 1997 to over 160 families today.
