This year, an amazing opportunity presented itself, I was challenged to raise money for a great charity and then run the Boston Marathon 2013 on the charity team! Never one to back down from a challenge, I accepted this amazing opportunity to raise money for a charity (that exceeds just my rego fee) and run the race that has been a life-long dream of mine! As a part of the Michael's Miracles Team, I have pledge to raise $4000.00 for the Michael Lisnow Respite Center. This is a respite center that offers care and services to developmentally disabled persons and their families.

I am inspired by the Respite Center's story, having worked as a care taker for developmentaly disabled people, I understand the joys and the challenges of caring for people with disabilities. I am beyond excited to run for someone other than myself. I am doing this because I am capable, I am doing this because I know that if they could do it for me, they would.
