Your donation will assist in Red Lake Nation Boys & Girls Club daily operations, and the Keystone Club in memory of Roger.
As you may well know in January, the Red Lake Nation Boys & Girls Club lost a president and long time governing board member Roger Head to a terminal illness. Please join us in commemorating Roger by participating in the Give-To-the-Kids Challenge, which will be matched (dollar for dollar) up to $6,000 by the Otto Bremer Foundation. In order for your donation to count toward the Challenge, please do not donate until after 8am on Tuesday, September 28. To learn more about the Bremer Give-to-the-Kids Challenge, click here
Roger was a man of character, accountability, integrity, and faith. It was typical to see him at the Club two times a week, usually picking up his grandson, interacting with the kids, and teasing staff members. He believed in the Club’s mission as it was also his own, to serve the kids.
Some of Roger’s many contributions to the Red Lake Nation Boys & Girls Club included his involvement with the solicitation of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, Otto Bremer Foundation, Mardag Foundation, and many other foundations for the construction of the RLNBGC’s Main Unit in Red Lake.
In the grand scheme of things, Roger was only here for a short while, but his advocacy for the youth continues to impact the Club every day.
When you make a contribution, the dollars matched by Otto Bremer will specifically go to the Keystone Club and operations to keep the doors open. In addition to remembering Roger you will be supporting one of his many causes; the Kids!
