Family members can be deeply affected by the destructive behavior of an individual dealing with addiction. Recovery is real and possible!!

I am in personal long term recovery for over 20 years from the impact of addiction in some of my family members. Our family can celebrate the fact that recovery is real and possible and that our children/grandchildren have NOT been affected by the disease because Recovery is real and possible. We must provide support and encouragement to those who need our help to obtain recovery. I have been involved with the recovery movement for over 20 years, providing support and help to mothers, wives, children and others who have been deeply impacted by this destructive disease.

Every one of us knows SOMEONE who has been impacted by addiction and we also know someone who is in recovery. Support, education, and advocacy are some of the tools we need to use to make sure that the resources are available when someone needs help.
