As an avid cyclist and Registerd Nurse in the field of Oncology. I have ridden many Century Rides to raise funds for cancer research. I have ridden with Team in Training (Lymphoma and Leukemia Society) and CVCCA Parker's Team in Fresno, California. Please join me in my next venture the Valley Girls Ride on October 16th 2010. This year I decided to use my bike to help friends Susanne and Terry Waite raise money for KDA. All donations will go to KDA in their effort to find a cure for Kennedy's Disease.

The annual Valley Girls Ride is presented by the Central Valley Cycling Charitable Association. The idea for the “all girls” ride was borne after some of us rode in the Cinderella Classic in March of 2005. The effort to hold such a ride in the central valley was spearheaded by our friend Marsha Sorensen. Shortly after a committee was formed to move forward with planning the ride, Marsha passed away. This ride is being held in her honor.

The purpose of the event is twofold: to promote women's cycling in the Central Valley and to raise funds for charity. This year our beneficiaries are the Spirit of Woman, the Central California Blood Center and Camp Sunshine Dreams. To that end, we have planned what we hope will be an enjoyable event for both experienced and novice cyclists.***
