Rachel Marshal- Chile Intern
Rachel Marshall fundraising for BRIGHT HOPE INTERNATIONAL
Partner with me as I serve in Santiago, Chile with Bright Hope, an organization that brings hope to those living on less than $1 a day
For a long time the Lord has placed a passion and a brokeness for low-income communities in my heart. I graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in Internation Relations and Christian Education with the desire to serve communities in need. Inspite of what I desired the Lord led me to Target to work as a Manager, which is essentially the farthest from my dreams and passions as possible. This past year the Lord has humbled me and shown m that he calls me first to "seek his kingdom and his righteousness" (Matt. 6:33) regardless of what my job may be. Inspite of the challenges of this past year, my passion to serve low-income communities has not changed. Having come to understand that the Lord desires my absolute best I have found peace in surrendering this passion to Him. In doing so, through some unforseen circumstances, he opened a door to serve as an intern with Bright Hope.
About Bright Hope:
Bright Hope is a Christian international relief and development agency dedicated to bringing Hope to those living on less than a $1 a day. Their mission is to provide Hope for Today such as disaster relief, clean water and medical assistance, Hope for Tomorrow through microfinance projects, educational programs and job creation, Hope for Eternity by providing pastoral training and spiritual support. Bright Hope partners with 950 in-country churches located in impoverished communities and rural villages in 9 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
My Role as an Intern:
I will be joining a team of interns and volunteers in Chile led by Mark Lennox. Mark is the director of Bright Hope's development projects in Bolivia, Peru and Chile. I will work alongside Mark and the team to continue to develop these projects as well as develop new programs in areas of need.
Will You Consider Supporting Me?
As an intern with Bright Hope it is my responsibility to raise support for my time in Chile. I would like to ask you to consider joining me in this experience through prayer and financial support. I would like to share this experience with you and give you the opportunity to join Bright Hope's efforts to bring Hope to those living on less than a $1 a day. I am seeking to raise $16,000 to cover travel and living expenses for my year in Chile. Any donations will make a difference. Please consider making a monthly pledge or a one-time donation in support of my work with Bright Hope in Chile.
Thank you for taking the time to read through my page and considering partnering with me as I begin this journey as a intern with Bright Hope.
