Q20 is a group for people in their 20′s who are out, coming out, or figuring out their sexual and gender identities.
It’s a new take on support groups that incorporates healing tools where participants learn and practice self-care with peers and facilitators, and gain access to self-care resources in the Twin Cities.
We just finished our pilot project that ran from Feb 15- May 10 and want to make sure we can continue our work by opening up the group to more participants come fall 2011. Our facilitators have been working on a primarily volunteer basis and now is the time to make our work more sustainable.
Please help us out by donating $20 and sharing this with your friends!
The goal is to support people in a healthy, embodied questioning and coming out process, engaging resources and tools including forms of self-care.
"This is a unique group- it's perfect for those who may have struggled with finding a place in the queer community, because Q20 is based on the ultimate common denominator- the body. Through the support we find in Q20, we can more easily find our places in our commuities, find friends we may not have met otherwise, find our bodies, and feel more whole." -Q20 Praticipant, Spring 2011
"People should support this group financially, because people who are able to support themselves well are then resources enough to support others. It is the most amazing way of actively helping the LGBT community to be as healthy as it can by giving those who carry the fight tools to love an hold the space for ourselves and each other." -Q20 Partcipant, Spring 2011
"There is nothing like this group out there, and it is life changing. I have never found a space this comfortable, often and continually inspiring me to better myself than Q20. What a positive experience for queer people to share!" - Q20 Participant, Spring 2011
