Annual Fund 2013 funds will be used to support our existing programs and to expand the Kenya program.
In 2013, Partners for Women's Equality received nearly double the amount of funding requests to sponsor high school girls in Kenya.
Being unable to attend high school often leads young girls with no choice but to marry at a very early age. This puts their lives and health at risk; complications of pregnancy and childbirth is a leading cause of death among adolescent girls in this region.
Knowing this, we are committed to raising the funds to support all of these girls. We are also looking at expanding the Kenya program further to include leadership training for the girls.
