It doesn’t matter if you haven’t done a push-up since gym class, or can’t do a pull-up to save your life... you can help fight homelessness
The Push-up/Pull-Up Challenge is a fundraiser and community builder started by members of the YWCA Health & Fitness Center. It’s a fun way to help homeless families to pull themselves up out of poverty.
The concept is simple: as a community, we challenge ourselves to see how many push-ups and pull-ups we can do. In lieu of a pot of cash for the winners – all participants are asked to make a voluntary contribution to the YWCA Transitional Housing Program.
We meet quarterly to test ourselves and to celebrate our accomplishments. During our last fundraiser, challengers completed 200 pull-ups, 816 push-ups, and raised more than $380 for the Transitional Housing Program!
It is always our goal to do more – please join us!

You can make a difference!
All funds raised through the Push-Up/Pull-Up Challenge benefit the YWCA's Transitional Housing Program - a program that helps homeless women and children to rebuild their lives. Families spend up to 24 months building skills and stabilizing their lives while living in one of three YWCA Transitional Housing sites.
