We use our gifts and talents to pass on both wisdom and faith while equipping our students to be active, global citizens of the 21st century
This past fall Best Buy's Geek Squad Summer Academy program brough a quarter of a million dollars in state of the art technology including Mac Books, laptops, digital cameras, video recorders, and much much more for an amazing two days of hands-on activities with our students.
Fox 5 reported on the event and you can see what really extraordinary learning took place over those two days: http://www.myfoxdc.com/dpp/mornings/holly_live/holly-morris-geek-squad-summer-academy-091911?CMP=201109_emailshare
Unfortunately, when the Geek Squad left they loaded all of the equipment back on trucks and took it with them. Our students still had all of those great ideas in their minds, but all we have for them use to explore their new-found technology skills is a computer lab with 10 year old PCs.
Help us literally bring our technology into the 21st century. We need new computers for lab, we need a mobile set of laptops, we need new interactive Smart Boards, and many other peices of technology that will help our students achieve their potential.
