Thank you to Volunteers & Faith Partners for decades of support!

PRISM believes that everyone is capable of achieving stability and self-sufficiency with help from an effective and healthy support network.

Our mission is to walk alongside families, providing support-based programs that encourage self-sufficiency. We build relationships with families, treating them with our core values of dignity and accountability as they work to overcome barriers and improve their lives.

Emergency Food Shelf:

Over 500 families per month receive meat, dairy, produce, bread, personal hygiene products, baby items, and more! PRISM serves Golden Valley, Plymouth, Robbinsdale, New
Hope & Crystal. Our 'choice' model allows participants to shop independently while reducing waste & overhead. The program is delivered thanks to committed and caring
volunteers, faith partners, and community partnerships.

Financial Assistance:

PRISM case workers access funding to prevent individuals and families from losing their housing. Affordable housing continues to be one of the greatest barriers to stability for low-income families. We help kids stay in their schools and
families avoid homeless shelters. We would like to grow this much needed to service to enhance the stability and well-being of our community's children.

Ways to Work:

PRISM is a member for the Alliance for Children & Families, a national organization that provides infrastructure and technical assistance to Ways to Work program sites. PRISM provides low-interest loans to working families for vehicles. Predatory lending is avoided and assets are built when
people can obtain jobs in the suburbs & other places that have limited public transit options.

Cars obtained through Ways to Work have helped most borrowers (94%) improve their employment circumstances. Across the full program, employers benefitted approximately $3.9 million or about $817.44 per borrower when averaged over all borrowers in avoiding costs of recruitment and training that would otherwise have been incurred had the Ways to Work borrower been unable to retain employment.

Resale Boutique:

PRISM provides a boutique thrift store with clothing, coats, shoes and more at low prices. The boutique provides the families we serve with an inexpensive please to shop and is a revenue stream for PRISM from those shoppers that are coming to look for a bargain. Winter coats for $4- where else can you get a deal such as that?
