Primate House Improvements at Como Zoo
A project of Como Friends
Distant Cousins…Only Not So Distant
For more than 50 years, Como Zoo has been the place to be for up close and personal encounters with orangutans, gorillas, and many other members of our primate family. As Como Zoo prepares for Gorilla Forest—a new and improved habitat for the Zoo’s three western lowland gorillas—your support can help to give the Primate House at Como its first real face lift since its opening in 1985.
Through this “Primate Improvement” fundraiser, Como Friends is supporting:
• Improved lighting design that will brighten visitor areas throughout the Primate House, making it more welcoming for Como’s more than 1.9 million visitors
• Noise reduction that will make the space more inviting to small groups and school field trips
• Improved signage to help Como visitors connect the dots between the primate families and their own.
Show your support for the care and conservation of Como Zoo’s primate ambassadors with a tax-deductible contribution today.

Supporting local efforts at Como Zoo also impacts conservation projects worldwide. These dear primates so deserve a great enclosure where visitors can enjoy them best, as well.
