PPL believes in empowering individuals to be accountable and responsible for their own growth toward self-reliance. Your generous support helps further our programs and services, helping low-income families and individuals gain the support and skills they need to achieve self-sufficiency.

PPL is a pioneer in providing integrated services—a multiservice agency that approaches self-sufficiency issues in a holistic manner, by understanding the complexities of barriers to: housing stability, employment, family stability, and youth achievement. Since 1972, PPL has built reliable relationships to create life-changing opportunities for low-income families and individuals.

In 2010, PPL served 13,658, a record number of people through our integrated programs and services. Additional results include:

  • 960 affordable housing units owned or managed.
  • 2,262 adults received family stability services.
  • 6,750 received work readiness and job training.
  • 90 youth and children benefited from schools and enrichment programs.
  • 1,612 generous volunteers contributed 75,681 hours of services to PPL.
  • 9% PPL keeps administrative costs low.
  • 39 years that PPL has been a reliable community resource.
