Please Help Josilyn
A project of EVEN CHANCE
One of our adoptables, Josilyn, was recently hospitalized for labored breathing and a fever.
Josilyn is a 2 year old female pit bull that we aquired from a local shelter after she sustained severe hit by car injuries. She had multiple facial fractures along with a neck fracture. Although most of her injuries have been surgically corrected, a lingering injury just reared its head. Josliyn has developed a benign heart murmur, and through the summer heat, partial laryngeal paralysis. The surgeon believes it is due to her hit by car injuries in the spring. Due to this she cannot be
walked on a collar (we're trying different harnesses/head halters to see
what will work best for her now) and will need an adopter willing to limit
her activity level life long. We are VERY thankful that she is doing well and that this condition is manageable, but the unexpected vet bills totaled $750. Poor thing can't catch a break!
