The R4V Urban Assault Team is helping Team R4V support and rehabilitate disabled veterans through athletics and adaptive sports.
Why Im doing this?
I've decided to raise funds and awarness that we are still at war and our vets need our help! I'm going to do this by helping raise funds for Team R4V, holding milestone events and competing in the CMC. I want to do something for the men and women who have made incredible sacrifices so that I may live free and because I want to do everything to assist in their rehabilitation and reintegration. Since October 2001, over two million U.S. troops have deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. The men and women serving in these wars are returning to their loved ones forever changed. At every $100 benchmark I will do an "event" which I will post videos on here.
$100 - 33 rounds of tire flips, box jump, push-ups and 1 burpee for good luck. (100 reps) COMPLETED
$200 - 200 meter run uphill with sandbag. COMPLETED
$300 - 50 push ups on the hour, every hour, for 24 hours. COMPLETED
$400 - 14.44 mile ruck walk with 40.0 lb ruck carrying the U.S. Flag. COMPLETED
$500 - Sprint triathlon carrying the U.S. flag the whole time, swim, bike and run. SEPT 9th
$600 - Car Pull
$700 - What do you think?
Why Team R4V
Team R4V fosters a commitment to veterans by promoting awareness, supporting rehabilitation, and empowering individuals to follow through on a path of healing with a sense of pride and accomplishment. The organization is committed to the rehabilitation of United States veterans, standing beside them when other services are no longer offered.
Why You Should Support Me
Team R4V will use funds collected from the CMC NYC Urban Assault to provide support for America's heroes. Because we can give back to wounded warriors by simply competing, because we have chosen to help hundreds of veterans through a contribution to Team R4V, we are now getting closer to the hour when a wounded veteran can say "I can live again!" Any amount, great or small, helps to make a difference in the lives of the U.S. service members that have sacrificed so much. I appreciate your support and look forward to letting you know how I do.
