After cycling across America from New Jersey to Anacortes, Washington, and then down the Pacific coast to San Diego, I realize my power to accomplish goals. However, although enjoying the trip for my own benefits was nice, I believe continuing my journey back to New Jersey in a similar fashion would be selfish especially considering all the kind people who have helped me on my journey, and the tragic events occurring back home.

During my ride down the Pacific coast, I received news that after more than 20 years my aunt's ovarian cancer has returned. My aunt is an amazing, kind-hearted person. While she holds strongly to her own morals, she never fails to listen to others and respect their views. I hope that one day ovarian cancer will be more easily detected and a cure will be found, so that women like my aunt will be able to live long healthy lives.

My goal is to raise $1 for every mile I ride back to New Jersey. However, I will not be riding directly home. I will ride across the Southern Tier route to the coast of Florida, then up the Atlantic Coast to New Jersey, making my loop around America complete.
