Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Minnesotans have a strong voice in OutFront Minnesota Community Services (OFMCS)—whether you're a student facing harassment at school, an employee who has been discriminated against, a parent with questions about how Minnesota law affects your family, or someone in need of resources to seek safety.

OFMCS is a vital resource in the movement for Safe Schools. We provide crisis counseling for students through our Anti-Violence Program, and our Legal Program has been instrumental in creating and protecting the Gay-Straight Alliance student groups that save the lives of young people who are bullied and harassed at school.

Our Anti-Violence Program serves people who have experienced violence or harassment because of who they are, or who have experienced violence in their relationships. We train educators, legal, law enforcement, and social service personnel to recognize and respond to violence.

OFMCS is the first stop for people in crisis, providing free and confidential consultations as well as referrals and step-by-step assistance as they navigate the legal system.

For 24 years, we've been working to make Minnesota a place where people can be free to be who they are, to love who they love, and live without fear of violence, harassment or discrimination. With the threat of increased harassment, violence and discrimination against LGBT Minnesotans in the heat of a campaign to ban marriage for same-sex couples, now is a crucial time to strengthen our community's resources like OFMCS.
