OU '96 Abroad - Operation Understanding's 25th Anniversary Year Alumni Fund

14 years ago we started a journey that would last a lifetime . . . Please contribute to the OU Alumni Fund so OU '96 can help send 3 students plant the seeds of understanding that will last a lifetime!

Who knew that when we boarded a plane to Senegal (after a midnight run to McDonald's on Broad St), that we were sitting among 12 students who would remain close friends for 14 years (and counting!). We should help send students on their journey so they can have experience like ours: NOT have "relations"; lunch with Molly Melchen and Tostan; drop their keys into the water at a Senegalese resort; get their hair braided at a Senegalese village; get sick together on a small van off-roading in Senegal; sit together for 9hrs in DeGaulle Airport waiting for their flight to Tel Aviv; climb masada at sunrise; wade through the Jordan river; experience the t'shirt shops of Ben Yahuda Street; pray together at the Western Wall and spend their senior year engaged in outreach with the Philadelphia Community (and OU '96 parties!).

Please contribute to the Alumni Fund and help other students start their journey and friendships and have this incredible experience -an experienc that we all clearly benefited from. OU taught us about giving back to our communities and now, more than ever, we can.
