Cameroon Women’s Empowerment Project - Ohio State
A project of Nourish International
This Project will benefit families in Cameroon, enabling them to gain financial freedom and have a lasting impact on the local community.
We are Nourish International, The Ohio State Chapter. We are a student-run non-profit organization focusing on engaging global communities to end poverty. In the past, we have had projects in Bolivia, Peru and Uganda. The picture you see above is our volunteers having fun with children in Uganda last summer. With the support of thousands of generous and benevolent people like you, we are able to support communities in lifting themselves out of poverty.
What will we do this summer?
This summer we will travel to Cameroon to launch a women’s empowerment project with our local partner, the Cameroon Association of Active Youths (CAMAAY). We will start a microfinance institute to give small loans to local women, and train them with basic money management skills. It will benefit the local community by enabling women to gain more financial knowledge, thus letting their families have more economic opportunities. Our Project will have a long-lasting impact on poverty in the local community in Cameroon.
How MUCH can you help?
Our goal is to raise $ 4500 for the project. In order to make it happen, we need your support! No matter how much you donate, you will help make a big difference!
Please consider supporting us. Your kindness will paint the most beautiful rainbow in Cameroon this summer!
