Welcome to my website!!!

My name is Oron and I am 12 years old. I am raising funds for the Community Music School of Springfield, MA. The school has had a long tradition of reaching out to financially disadvantaged children, making it possible for these children to learn different types of music and instruments. The funds that I raise through this project will be used for supporting the school's Scholarship Fund.

I feel very privileged to have been introduced to music at a very early age. When I was a toddler, my mom would take me to a toddler music program (“Music for Little People”) where I had a lot of fun. Then, at the age of 7, my parents signed me up for piano lessons. I have played the piano for a little over five years. I also have taken drum lessons for almost two years. I have performed at several recitals at Mount Holyoke College. People usually compliment me for my performances and how much I have learned over the years. Playing and creating music is fun and has given me more than just the ability to perform. Music allows me to express myself in many ways. It also has helped me develop concentration, focus, and confidence. My knowledge of music makes me a better-rounded person.

I would like for other children to have the opportunity to have similar experiences. There are many children out there with uncovered musical talents. Also, there are many children who would like to learn a musical instrument but their parents may not have the resources to make it happen. Learning to play music has been a great experience that I would like to share through this project.
