The Organic Field School – for the people who grow organic produce and the people who eat it!

Two times the money! Wedge Cooperative matches donations up to $5,000 for 2011 “Give to the Max”!

The nonprofit Organic Field School serves organic produce farmers in the Upper Midwest. More (and more successful) organic farms means more organic farmers and more fresh, local organic produce for the eaters who enjoy it. We offer hands-on workshops and trainings, demonstrations, and on-farm tours. One of the things that sets us apart is our commitment to helping experienced—not just beginning—farmers be successful. Your financial support will help OFS thrive, improve the quality of our educational programs, and increase the number of people we can reach.

Efforts by the Wedge Cooperative got OFS started in 2009. This year the Wedge has offered a $5,000 match especially for Give to the Max Day donations. Please help us reach our $20,000 goal with a contribution of any size.

After you give, please leave us a donor comment, then talk us up on Twitter, Facebook and good old fashioned e-mail!

Organic food production is not only people-friendly but earth-friendly. OFS will teach farmers to protect our soil, air and water and to grow better food.

More organic farmers = more organic food! I am a board member of OFS and believe strongly in this effort to engage new organic farmers and eaters.

A Field is an area of land used to cultivate crops, or to keep livestock. It is also a branch of knowledge and the area in which a sport is played. At the Organic Field School, the sport is farming, the knowledge is organic and the winners are healthy humans and a healthy environment.
