Hunger and homelessness affect children, seniors, veterans and working adults in Minnesota. People like you. You can help.

Thank you for your support.

Giving to Open Your Heart is a very efficient way for you to impact the lives of thousands of people who are hungry and homeless in Minnesota. We leverage your donations to provide grants in 3 essential areas: shelter, food and education. We target funding to more than 200 food and shelter providers each year for specific, unmet needs such as mattresses, freezers, fresh produce and school supplies for homeless children. Tangible goods like these are vital to serving hungry and homeless people in Minnesota and ensure that food and shelter providers are able to focus their attention on helping more people in need.

Children, seniors and working adults in our community need food and shelter today. Please join Open Your Heart in achieving our vision that every Minnesotan is free from hunger and homelessness.

Open Your Heart is my favorite charity. It provides funding that most shelters and food shelves don't have the wherewithal to raise otherwise. Help those in need.t

"Recently my wife died of cancer and I want a memorial in her honor. She loved children, helping the less fortunate and a true believer in quality education for everyone. I was a board member of OYH for many years and than retired to travel with my wife Maggie and winter in Florida. I served on the Education committee and realized the importance of the grants we awarded to shelters and transitional housing to assist in providing to supplies to homeless children. It was essential in helping them with their self esteem."
