We are all members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish as well as players on the church softball team. We are going to run 2.5 miles, eat a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts, and run 2.5 miles back... in under an hour! Please help support us and raise money for N.C. Children's Hospital!

WHY SHOULD YOU FUNDRAISE?

The Krispy Kreme Challenge is the largest private financial donor to the N.C. Children's Hospital. All proceeds from the event benefit grants proposed by employees who see a need in their respective areas to provide better care and services to children and their families. Grants fund a wide array of programs; some of the past grants include:

• Distraction items to alleviate fear and anxiety associated with invasive surgery
• Educational simulators to improve skills of surgeons
• Family orientation videos describing all aspects of care for patients with various illnesses
• Practice manikin dolls to teach home care skills to parents with premature babies
• Equipment for adolescent support groups
• Establish a Patient and Family Resource Center in the Children’s Hospital
