OIL SPILL MASSACRE RELIEF FUND

To all my friends and the friends of theirs, I want to make a plea with you: I have felt strongly about many causes but none so much as the disaster in the Gulf Coast. I am no celebrity, only a simple citizen of the world asking you do donate what you can - regardless of the amount - to help aid the innocent victims of the oil spill massacre.

Although there are many things in our lives we need to change in order to preserve this planet, the damage the spill has caused to our environment is one of the most significant single events in our lifetime.

We all have different views on religion and politics. We can argue the importance and disasters of war, poverty, high taxes, personal rights, and whatever other topic comes up on the political forum. But without a healthy home in this vast galaxy, none of it will matter. For all that you have fought for in the past, this is the direst. What has happened in the Gulf Coast is the clearest example of what man’s greed and thoughtlessness can and has been doing to this planet.

So instead of buying that $8 dollar mixed drink at your favorite bar this weekend, donate that money so the animals of the Gulf Coast can have a clean drink of water. Instead of buying your child that toy they don’t need, buy them a chance at having a clean earth in their future. Instead of asking for the latest electronic toy for your birthday, ask for your loved ones to give you the gift of knowing that an animal suffocating from the oil can be rescued. Instead of buying that new mower for your lawn, give money so the precious wetlands of the coast can be preserved.

You all have the ability to make a huge difference and I am personally asking that you give up a little spare change to make a big change in the world. We may all have different lives, but we all share one home. My goal is to raise $500 by the 4th of July. Help me make it so by spreading the word and giving back on the day of our nation's birth-but I'm extending this date as I still hope to raise $500 and we are short this goal.
