Student involvement in Fine Arts has been linked with cognitive gains in math, reading, critical thinking and verbal skills. Arts education can improve motivation, confidence, and teamwork. A 2005 Rand report argues that Fine Arts connect us "more deeply to the world and open new ways of seeing." Fine Arts education not only brings cognitive benefits, but also enriches a student's life and brings him or her into deeper contact with what it means to be human. The Northfield Fine Arts Boosters believe that strong and vibrant Fine Arts programs in our schools are a vital component of our childrens' lives and educations. We seek your help in ensuring that all of Northfield High School's students have access to the programs they deserve.
