Seeking donations to sustain this foster home facility caring for children in the difficult environment of Juarez, Mexico.

The Ninos Victorisos Siempres-Juarez Foster Care Facility , founded by Chon and his wife Juana, houses 13 boys and girls in Juarez, Mexico, just across the border from El-Paso. Chon and Juana continue to work, largely alone, as the main staff caring for and providing services to the children. They face a number of major challenges.

Juarez has become a battlefield of the drug wars over recent years. At times there have been over 40 murders daily, sometimes for a week, sometimes for weeks on end. In the last ten years the Juarez area has become particularly notorious for female sexual homicides: over 450 women have been found dead without explanation. Some prominent writers have implied involvement of high ranking police officers and well known citizens in these crimes, and there has been a massive failure to investigate the deaths.

Protecting the safety of the children and staff at the home is a critical and very real issue.

The children at Ninos Victorisos come from difficult backgrounds, and are vulnerable. Some were abandoned to the December cold at ages as young as two months. Even more concerning is the future they may face. Due to legal restrictions for child age-group separation, the home can currently only house children under the age of 13. As the children age, their future accommodation remain largely in question.

Economically the foster home currently relies exclusively on donations to sustain necessary utilities, food, clothing for the children, bills, and other expenses. Aside from Carlos , an American who lives near the home and works on various projects to help the local communities in Juarez, there are minimal avenues for assistance. The Mexican government provides only a tiny monthly stipend to the institution.

Our group is working to establish more stable and sustainable structures to support Ninos Victorisos Siempres-Juarez. We hope to provide opportunities and resources for the children and staff in this institution to look towards a bright and expansive future. However, while this work is in progress it is vital that the home maintains the financial ability to stay afloat and protect and support the children. All donations received through this site will go directly to the foster home facility to assist with daily and monthly expenses and needs. Information and news of exactly how donations are used is available and can be obtained for anyone interested

We thank you for your kindness and generosity.
