“Honor the fallen and remember the survivors”
“The Road to Hope”
Each May our membership comes together to participate in an annual bicycle trek to Washington, DC. The route is nearly 250 miles long and takes officers and survivors through many of Virginia's largest cities including Williamsburg, Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Alexandria. Law enforcement officers and survivors nationwide make this arduous journey to honor the service and sacrifice of their law enforcement colleagues who have died in the line of duty.
The officers and survivors ride to raise awareness of and provide monetary support to Concerns of Police Survivors© (C.O.P.S.) and Officer Down Memorial Page© (O.D.M.P.).
C.O.P.S. provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers that have died in the line of duty. Furthermore, C.O.P.S. provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.
Law Enforcement United's mission is to sponsor the C.O.P.S. Kids Camp each year providing 100% of the operating costs for the camp that is held each summer.C.O.P.S. Kids Camp provides family interaction, campactivities, grief counseling, relaxation, and lots of oldfashionedFUN. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in activities like swimming, fishing, arts & crafts, canoeing, ropes courses and campfire skits. This event is planned for school-aged children (6-14)of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty asdetermined by federal government criteria.
The Officer Down Memorial Page, Inc., (ODMP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring America's fallen law enforcement heroes. More than 19,000 officers have made the ultimate sacrifice in the United States and it is with great honor that the ODMP pays a lasting tribute to each of these officers by preserving their memories within its pages.
As a wife of a Law Enforcement Officer, I am thankful everyday that my officer comes home safely. With that I am proud of the work L.E.U. does, and the missions we support.
Please support my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will help Law Enforcement United with their mission to honoring officers that have died in the line of duty, and ensuring that their surviving family is supported and never forgotten.
