I am joining the Girls Power 2 Cure team and running to spread awareness, aid families and raise funds for Rett Syndrome research.
“Never say that you can't do something, or that something seems impossible, or that something can't be done, no matter how discouraging or harrowing it may be; human beings are limited only by what we allow ourselves to be limited by: our own minds." - Mike Norton
I always told myself running a half marathon was an IMPOSSIBLE feet; always said i CAN'T do it when in reality there was nothing stopping me but myself.
There are those in our lives who unfortunately don't have the capability to set a similar goal. For this reason I am joining the phenomenal team of Girls Power 2 Cure to help fight Rett Syndrome; a devastating neurological disorder. They not only raise awarness, but directly aid families with members suffering from this condition.
Rett Syndrome is the most severe form of autism and the leading genetic cause of severe impairment in girls - most cannot speak, walk or use their hands. Suprisingly, it is as prevalent as Cystic Fibrosis, ALS and Huntington's.
