The Neighborhood Energy Connection (NEC) has helped tens of thousands of Minnesotans increase the efficiency, affordability, and comfort of their homes--and we're helping more than 1,600 Twin Cities-area drivers drive less and drive greener with HOURCAR car sharing. NEC programs help you save money and improve the environment.

Wasted energy means wasted money, needlessly fouled air and water, and unsettling, unpredictable weather.

  • HOURCAR Car Sharing
  • Home Energy Squads
  • Financing & grants for home energy improvements

    Hourcar takes all the stress (well, most of it) out of having an aging car. And having a truck is even better! I like the idea of all of us sharing a truck. We don't each need our own, and this way we can all experience community and sharing.
