Your donation helps to make sure victims are treated with dignity, fairness, and respect so they can become survivors.

The National Crime Victim Law Institute (NCVLI) was founded by a small group of crime victims, law professors, and attorneys to help bring balance to a criminal justice system that was treating victims more like pieces of evidence than human beings.

Victims' rights are not new, but the justice system still fails to respect them. This means that people who are already struggling with being victims of crime can find themselves experiencing new injustices in court. To change this, NCVLI trains and provides free crime victim attorneys to fight for victims' rights in courts, educates people who work in the justice system about victims' rights, and works with partners across the nation to make the law stronger for victims.

Together with NAVRA* (our national membership alliance of attorneys, victim adovactes, and other friends of victims' rights) and with our partner legal clinics across the nation, NCVLI is working to make a better world for crime victims. We believe that all crime victims have the right to be safe and to have their legal rights respected in court.

Your support can make a real difference in the life of a crime victim. Join us and help make victims' rights a reality -- please donate today.
