Help motivate me to finish my first marathon by sponsoring a mile to support the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence!
Ever since Mom and Dad used to drag me out of bed to watch them compete in road races when I was little, I've wanted to run a marathon. After years of thinking about it and completing several half marathons, I decided this is the year. Help me make a dream come true by sponsoring one of my 26 miles! All money will be donated to the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence (AzCADV).
AzCADV is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is: to lead, to advocate, to educate, to collaborate, to end domestic violence in Arizona. AzCADV was formed in 1980 to unite the community, enhance services to and safety for victims and their children, and raise public awareness about DV.
Having worked at AzCADV for three years, I know firsthand how incredible the organization is. From lobbying at the state capitol to pass laws that protect victims to sharing information about how to apply for an order of protection, AzCADV is dedicated to ending domestic violence in Arizona. They bring all the anti-domestic violence programs together to speak with once voice: to fight for funding, to galvanize advocacy efforts, and to connect Arizona to the national movement.
One in four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. Please join me in helping AzCADV end this.
