Help us tell the story of the Tuskegee Airmen. A replacement engine is needed for our P-51C Mustang “Tuskegee Airmen”, cost is $200,000.

Please help purchase a replacement engine for our P-51C Mustang “Tuskegee Airmen”, America’s Flying Tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen. The cost for a replacement engine is $200,000 and is needed by spring 2013.

The Mustang is part of the CAF Red Tail Squadron’s educational program called “RISE ABOVE” that features the rare P-51C Mustang “Tuskegee Airmen” and our RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit.

The RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit is a 35-seat movie theater with a 160-degree panoramic screen, which is housed in a 53' semi rig. It features a professionally produced video about the Tuskegee Airmen. The plane “Tuskegee Airmen” and the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit travels 42 weeks of the year to air shows, events, and schools all over the nation. They are invaluable teaching tools about the history of the Tuskegee Airmen, their stories will serve to inspire today's young Americans to aim high and achieve their goals when facing any kind of adversity. They'll see that the Tuskegee Airmen, both during and after WWII, are role models for hard work, perseverance, and belief in the American Dream.

Every student who visits the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit as part of a school or Educational Outreach Program is given an inspirational “Dog Tag” with the six guiding principles of the CAF Red Tail Squadron’s Rise Above educational program. These principles reflect how the Tuskegee Airmen rose above all of the obstacles they faced in order to fly and fight for America. The dog tags read: Aim High – Believe In Yourself – Use Your Brain – Never Quit – Be Ready to Go – Expect To Win.

Based on our experience over the past several years, we know the story of the Tuskegee Airmen resonates with young people and that it is a powerful and inspirational story that can impact everyone's life. Please share this with others you know who believe as we do – that America’s future depends on the success of our youth and that we need to do everything we can to help them achieve their goals.

Seeding dreams and inspiring passion is rewarding work. The challenge is that it is expensive. We need your help.

Sincerely,

Bradford Lang,

CAF Red Tail Squadron Leader
