MS has no cure

My mother has multiple sclerosis. Like most MS sufferers it struck her quite early in life and gradually got worse. She is now in a wheelchair, gets tired quickly and struggles to do everyday things such as cooking, making phone calls and getting dressed. She tries really hard to lead a normal life and 'not bother people' but actually requires quite a lot of support in her daily life.

She's one of the lucky ones; many MS sufferers are much more badly affected and the symptoms vary from blindness to partial paralysis. As yet there is no cure - only care can be provided by family and friends.
