Moldova Martial Arts Missions Trip

Our team's mission is to travel to Moldova from June 13th - 22nd to teach at the Tae Kwon Do Sports Club annual summer camp and share the love of Jesus. We partner with Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cahul through their Tae Kwon Do Ministry. This Ministry provides a year round Tae Kwon Do Sports Club for kids to learn martial arts, compete in sports tournaments, and participate in a weekly Bible study. Many of the kids who participate in the club come to the summer camp. For these kids this is the highlight of their summer.

My name is Chris Romeo and I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I am the husband of Deb and father to Daniel, Sarah, Ashley, and Lauren. I made my first trip to Moldova last summer and it changed my life. God used my time there to change my heart. God showed me that faith and belief in Him is to be lived out all the time. Last year's trip led me to enroll at Shepherds Theological Seminary in Cary to pursue a Masters of Divinity degree. I am not sure what God has for me in the future, but I feel called back to Moldova to preach the Word this summer.

Moldova is the poorest country in Europe and many of the children grow up with neither parent in country. The parents leave Moldova to find work and send money back to their families. The children are raised by grandparents or other family members. Like people in the US and all around the world, they have a need to hear about Jesus.

We teach Martial Arts to the kids, lead Bible studies, preach the Word of God, and pour into the lives of these kids to show them the love of Jesus. We place a special focus on working with the leaders of the Martial Arts Ministry, who lead the weekly Bible studies with the kids throughout the year.

Your tax deductible donation will assist me in defraying the travel costs for this trip. Any money I raise above my goal will be used to purchase martial arts equipment for the Ministry.
