Where God gives a vision, He will make provision!
As many of you already know, I have been growing in my faith the last two years. This past summer I was blessed with a new job and moved to Washington, DC. Just prior to my move from NYC to DC, I underwent an expensive $80k heart procedure that removed excess heart fibers in my upper left heart chamber, which were disrupting the travel of my heart's electrical pulse. Needless to say, the Lord has literally given me a changed and improved heart and I will be forever grateful as I strive to serve him in this life.
After much prayer and contemplation, I have decided that 2013 will be the year that I take my first ever mission trip! This is a very special year, because I will turn 30 on April 5th! Even Jesus Christ did not begin his ministry until the age of 30 :)
The cost of my mission trip is estimated at $2,500 and will cover all expenses including my flight.
My life-changing trip will be to the Israel/Palestine area from May 2- May 12, 2013. I will be traveling with members of National Community Church. We will be serving side by side with a Palestinian/Messianic Church in Bethlehem, studying the conflict of both past and present through partnership with the Tent of Nations, assisting at a school for the blind in Jerusalem, working with families who have lossed loved ones from violence in the area, and will be seeing first-hand where our Savior lived and ministered.
I hope that you will choose to be a part of my 30th birthday celebration by making a small $30 contribution towards this mission trip on my behalf. The truth is that I cannot afford this trip on my own. But my faith is strong and I sincerely believe that where the Lord gives vision, He also gives provision. Your giving will be a testimony that while I am not rich in earthly dollars, I am rich in friendships and love.
