Mission Lexington is a non-profit, ecumenical ministry that provides charitable, educational, social, and community services.
We offer free medical and dental care, along with other activities and goods to Lexington families in need.
With the vision of a community where basic human needs are met, we formed Mission Lexington in March, 2005. Mission Lexington is dedicated to meeting the needs of our poorest neighbors. We are committed to serving and empowering our our community's most vulnerable residents. We value building relationships and preserving dignity. We strive to enhance each person's whole self, treating all with love and respect.
I. Mission Lexington made a difference last year by providing life-saving and life-giving care during 1,753 patient visits. 2011 was our 6th consecutive year of providing more patient visits than the year before. II. We celebrate with our patients who were able to get their jobs back because of the care they received. When employees are sick, they can’t work. We also had many patients at the dental clinic who lost their job because of the condition of their teeth, but after we restored their smile, they were able to get a job again. III. We were able to leverage relationships with pharmaceutical companies that allowed us to receive and distribute $53,667.00 worth of medications to patients who needed them.
