Minnesota's Maritime and Nautical History

We are planning to teach kids from kindergarten to 105 the importance of Minnesota's maritime heritage. We set up "Model Shipwrecks" at archaeological conferences and historical shows to teach kids and adults the parts of ships and boats, and why learning about these really cool things are necessary. We are planning to digitize thousands of documents pertaining to Minnesota's maritime heritage to make them accessible to everyone, not just the few people who can make time to travel and conduct historical research. We have spent thousand of hours and tens of thousands of dollars to educate ourselves in the fields of Maritime History and Nautical Archaeology - and we need to share our knowledge with all Minnesotans.
