Your support will help us produce the beautiful Minnesota Cooks calendar and organize our local food event at the State Fair on Aug. 31.

NEWSFLASH! We have a Minnesota Cooks sponsor who is willing to purchase a professional photo for each of our 2010 Minnesota Cooks farmers if we can raise an additional $2,000 before July 30. Farmers need marketing support! Please help us get professional photos for farm websites. Give today!

For the first time since the inception of this important and educational program, Minnesota Cooks is asking for support from people like you: food lovers, those concerned about where their food comes from and who grows it, and those who know that family farms remaining on the land is critical to our future. People have asked for years how they can be involved with Minnesota Cooks in a more significant way and this GiveMN page is the way in which to do just that! Check out our wonderful rewards to the right. (Please do not donate anonymously or we cannot get you your rewards!)

Started by Minnesota Farmers Union in 2003, and in partnership with Food Alliance Midwest, this legendary event, taking place on Tuesday, August 31 in Carousel Park at the Minnesota State Fair, showcases the critical relationships that farmers, chefs and cooks, and consumer share. Request your vacation day now!

Highlighting these relationships demonstrates the significance of time-honored foods that are produced locally and with great care for the land. Through eight 45-minute presentations on the Minnesota Cooks Stage, fairgoers have the opportunity to witness engaging cooking demonstrations, participate in rich conversations, sample the chefs’ unbelievable dishes, and witness up close the farmer-to-consumer connection.

Check back later this summer for our full schedule that will include a pretty darn impressive list of celebrity tasters.

We're also poised to create the most impressive 16-month Minnesota Cooks calendar yet, which truly extends our message throughout the year and beyond. Available for $5 and debuting at the event, it will again be packed with mouthwatering recipes, stunning photography of this year's participants, and beautiful stories about the rich relationships that farmers and chefs share.

We would love to have your support for this longstanding and incredible program. Please help us continue the good food tradition here in Minnesota. THANK YOU.
