Minnesota Atheists is dedicated to building a positive atheist community that actively promotes secular values through educational programs, social activities, and participation in public affairs. We are an all-volunteer organization, so every dollar donated directly supports our community-building work. Our activities include producing Atheists Talk radio and cable programs, which are both available as podcasts on our web site www.mnatheists.org; marching in parades and staffing booths, mostly at GLBT Pride events around the state; holding public educational events and sponsoring conferences, to which we bringing in nationally known speakers; hosting one of the largest Meet-up groups in Minnesota, where we offer a large calendar of social events throughout the year; and publishing Atheist Weekly Email (AWE) to give people a list of statewide secular events. We send speakers to schools, civic meetings, debates, and churches. We sponsor a Day of Reason celebration at the State Capitol every year on the first Thursday in May.
