I joined the Board of PCA Colorado because I believe in the power of youth sports. A positive experience in athletics can set a child on the path to becoming a determined, healthy, happy and driven person. A negative experience can have lasting effects on self-esteem and character. Unfortunately, nationwide 70% of kids drop out of athletics by age 13.
In Colorado, we're striving to change the culture so that every youth athlete is given a positive, life-enhancing experience.
I have donated $2500 myself and luckily my employer, Covidien, matched my donation. So I am 1/2 of the way to my goal of $10,000. Please consider donating to PCA’s Annual Fund to help PCA carry this momentum into 2013! If you donate by December 31st and it falls within the first $5000 of donations received, your impact will be quadrupled!
You read that right! Based on matching funds that are available in Colorado and through our National organization, your donation will be matched at a 4:1 ratio! A $250 gift would result in $1000 provided to PCA to support our mission. After $5000, all donations will be matched dollar for dollar, and your impact will be doubled! Plus, if your employer also matches charity donations, the magnitude of your donation is increased even more!
