Help me raise more money than I could lift with this spoon!
Last year I decided to run the 2010 Boston Marathon. I had been managing a marathon team for 2 years and I thought it was time for me to try running the thing for myself. I was nervous and doubtful that I would actually be able to run 26.2 miles in a row. But, I spent 5 months dedicated to training and fundraising and I was able to finish the marathon and raise more than $6,000.
On April 19th, after finishing the marathon, I said, "Thank god I never have to do that again." But, with a few months of distance to blind my judgement, it started to sound like a good idea again.
In reality, running the 2010 Boston Marathon was one of my proudest moments. And the fact that I was able to raise money and be part of a team made it infinitely better.
This year, I'll be running for Bottom Line, the organization where I have worked for the past 5 years. Bottom Line helps low-income and first-generation students get in to college and graduate. It is an amazing organization doing important work, and doing it well.
I want to raise $7,500 this year, and I need your help to get there. Every donation helps. If you donated last year, please consider donating a little bit more than what you gave last year. And if you didn't give last year, now's your chance.
Thank you all for helping me do this again!
