Midway Family (Saint Paul) YMCA Y Partners Annual Support Campaign

Y Partners gifts provide scholarships to children and families who otherwise could not participate in YMCA programs due to financial need.

Y Partners 2010 is focusing on:
*Youth leadership and development
*Safe and affordable child care
*Healthy lifestyles for youth
*Health disparities
*Water safety

Y Partners funds allow the Midway Family YMCA to meet critical needs in our community!

•10 inner-city youth participated in YMCA Youth in Government United Nations and Model Assembly.
•Last year our branch awarded $107,542 in scholarships to over 350 families to help them stay active with YMCA programs.
•Over 108 Children enjoyed safe, supervised care in our YMCA preschool and after-school care programs. $139,605 was awarded in scholarships.
•Over 175 low-income youth were able to become YMCA members and participate in fitness and water safety classes.
•Over 2,000 swim lessons were provided to 225 children through our year-round Swim Academy.

$50 Purchase educational toys and games for child care programs
$100 Underwrite a swim lesson session for 10 children whose families receive financial assistance
$250 provide a full session of swim lessons for 3 minority children who are, according to new research, more at risk for drowning or water-related injury
$500 Sponsor a full-year membership for an older adult who is alone and needs the YMCA for better health and as a place to belong
$1,500 Provide before and after school care for six-year-old whose single mom needs to be at work
