Listening looks a lot like love. MIDTOWN is engaged in the never ending conversation about what it means to follow Jesus. All are welcome.
In June of 2010 we started hosting dinners on Monday nights in south Minneapolis. People came for the food and stayed for the conversation.
In 2011 some of the regulars got together to talk about taking this community to its next level. With a simple question - what does it mean to follow Jesus? - we started dreaming about a community of people who gathered around the values of honesty, belonging, grace and initiative.
It was missing something until we introduced the Law of Two Feet.
"If you are in a conversation and you are not LEARNING from it or CONTRIBUTING to it, you should use your T W O F E E T and find a conversation where you can. Or start your own."
The result is an emerging community of people in Minneapolis engaged in the never ending conversation about what it means to follow Jesus. Gathering twice per month, Midtown is interested in offering a restorative presence to business, art, family, and justice.
And all are welcome.
