The Samaritan Center has been saving lives, healing emotional wounds and giving hope to Central Texas families for more than 35 years,. We are a non-profit, interfaith counseling ministry whose mission is to promote hope, healing and wholeness for the child, adult, family and community. We provide counseling to overcome abuse and adversity to teach healthy life skills and strengthen families.

Recognize Good.org is a program to promote acts of kindness and unselfish charity. Our vision is that one act of kindness will plant the seed for another act of kindness and that RecognizeGood.org’s impact will extend far beyond our city to inspire more “goodness” in the world. Through the sharing of stories about kindness and unselfish charity, RecognizeGood.org will lift the spirit of our nation and light the fire of benevolence to provide a source of funding for a host of charities worldwide.

The website, www.recognizegood.org is fully integrated with other popular social media sites such as Facebook. Stories of kind acts may appear on personal profiles with the RecognizeGood icon and the latest deed can be followed with Twitter. Videos can be uploaded to the website via YOUTUBE for a truly personal tribute.

There is no cost to thank someone using RecognizeGood.org. However, if someone chooses to make a donation to honor the good deed, the honoree is notified and given the opportunity to choose the charity that will benefit. The donation is matched by a corporate sponsor and shared between the Samaritan Center and the honoree’s chosen charity.
