Raising monies to send a veterinary medical team to England to help vaccinate 1,000 swans and raise monies to support captive swan flocks.

Inspire others to action by telling a good story about who you are helping or why you care.

The Regal Swan Foundation, Inc., serves to provide humane veterinary medical care to swans worldwide, specifically in captive settings through consultation, research and education. The Regal Swan Foundation, Inc., is comprised of veterinarians, swan keepers, educators, researchers and other interested volunteers who provide their services (free of charge) to advise swan keepers and veterinarians about the preservation of swan species, conservation of their wetland habitats and the birds' general humane care as well as provide veterinary medical services.

The Regal Swan Foundation's volunteers have conducted research resulting in the pioneer usage of two vaccines to mitigate swan deaths due to Botulism and West Nile Virus and identified a bacteria which is causing swans to turn pink through the U.K. and Central Florida. Research into the pink flamingo feather syndrome is still ongoing by the researchers from The Regal Swan Foundation, Inc.

Many cities have had swan flocks for years, but now, because of budgetary cuts, monies for veterinary medical services, feed and general upkeep is very limited. The Regal Swan Foundation, Inc., donates feed, feeders, veterinary medical care, medical supplies, nesting material and platforms to help offset these expenses.

In 2008, The Regal Swan Foundation, Inc., established the Swans of the World Habitat at Lake Eola in Orlando, Florida. The purpose of the habitat is to showcase the various swan species found throughout the world and to educate visitors to Lake Eola about the swan's disappearing wetland habitats.

Monies raised through this campaign will not only allow us to donate to the Lake Eola Habitat and other municipal sites, but will allow a 10 member veterinary medical response team to help with the vaccinations of wild swans in Abbotsbury, England in 2011 as well as continue our research into the necessary care for swans worldwide.
