Coming Home Rescue is dedicated to rescuing shelter dogs and helping dogs who have lost their homes, or perhaps never had one. These beautiful companions find themselves all too often in horrible situations - sometimes abused, more often neglected and forgotten. Without a voice, they endure the worst of situations and still seek a human touch, a gentle word, and above all else, love. We, as volunteers, work every day to make a difference in their lives. We rehabilitate them with medical care, good nutrition, training and love. We hold them close until we can find them a new chance at life with a loving family. We work diligently to learn about each dog we rescue so that we find the best match for them in a new home. Each dog we touch becomes a part of our Coming Home Rescue family and we treat them as our own until their new family is found. Our rescued dogs come from many different environments - most are taken from local shelters where the shelter capacity has reached its limits We are an all-breed rescue and do not discriminate because of age, size or disability. As part of our mission, we also develop and conduct educational programs focused on pet care and responsible pet ownership so that more dogs can remain in their homes and be good family members. Funding for all of this work is an ongoing challenge. We receive no funds from any state agency or philanthropic organization. Every dollar we receive goes directly to caring for rescued dogs even when extensive medical care is needed. Your support will help give them a second chance at life.
