Supporting the care, comfort, and compassion of the aging...we are dedicated to enriching lives and enhancing services for seniors.
Success Story:
Some 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, a progressive, fatal brain disease that often leaves people anxious, confused, and isolated. Care giving for these individuals can be a challenge. However, in the area of cognitive enhancement, adaptive computer systems are linking residents with technology in a variety of ways from computer gaming to physical exercise to programs that help improve hand eye coordination. Adaptive equipment and specialized programming allow residents with dementia or physical disabilities to participate.
These adaptive computer systems have been designed to encourage seniors to interact with family, friends, the Internet, and customized, sensory stimulation programs. By striving to provide a whole new level of person-centered care, it allows residents and tenants the opportunity to self-direct their own activities, therapies and other programming. Each participant will enjoy a full program of activities adapted to his or her unique abilities and interests. Through the utilization of these systems, we will see improvement in motor skills, balance, cognitive skills, memory retention, dexterity, and speech.
